Ok, Athlete. You’ve decided to take the next step and get personalized training from your Bodyweight Coach. Now you’re wondering how to set things up. We’ve got the answers for you.

Coach Focus

To get started, you need to choose the Coach Focus that suits you best. Which Coach focus you choose largely depends on which goals you want to achieve. You will be able to change the Focus at the end of every training week. We currently offer three different focuses.

Cardio

This is the best way to get lean. Improve your cardiovascular endurance while losing fat and defining the body. That doesn’t mean that strength exercises are completely excluded – a short, occasional session can make a big difference to your overall conditioning.

Strength

Get strong! This focus is all about gaining strength and building muscles without adding fat. Short runs and sprints are incorporated in the routines as an additional means to encourage your progress.

Cardio & Strength 

If you want to get fit, this is the way to go. Broad improvement of athletic performance as well as gaining muscles while losing weight are the characteristics of this focus. This focus can contain literally anything from runs to highly complex sets – but whatever happens, it will always be based on your own abilities!

Limitations

The Limitations function in the Bodyweight app has only one purpose: to give truly tired muscles a break for the upcoming Coach Weeks.

Limitations should never be used in cases where there’s a chance of a strain, joint pain, or injury. When in doubt, always see a doctor!

Things to keep in mind:  

  1. The only time that limitations should be indicated are when you are experiencing Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS).
  2. In cases of strain, joint pain, or any injury, don’t use the limitations function, but instead see a doctor and take a break from training.
  3. Whenever you choose one or several limitations, be aware this might have an impact on training variety.
  4. If you need to set limitations, you can do this at the end of every Coach Week when you give your Coach feedback.
